1) Register for your SAT I, SAT II and ACT Test
Ask your Advisor for help with registration payments.

2) Request Recommendation Letters from your teacher, counselor and community advocates
Most colleges will require you to turn in two letters of recommendation. Ask someone who knows you best and can speak to your strengths in the classroom as well as someone who can speak to special talents and special circumstances. Give them plenty of time, at least a month before it's due and graciously remind them a week before. Remember, they are doing you a favor, make it easy by giving them written envelopes and thank them for their time.
